| The Plant Cell Biology Core Lab in the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Academia Sinica, was established in the committee meeting on February 10, 2004. This core lab is dedicated to the research and advancement in plant cell biology. A governing committee oversees general operation of the core lab and potential application of promising new technologies in the study of cell biology, while a manager supervises a small staff in providing technical support, routine services and up keeping of the facilities. Major equipment in the core lab includes transmission and scanning electron microscopes, confocal microscopes, a flow cytometer and various types of optical devices. To better serve members in the Institute interested in using electron microscopes for their researches, a new sample-preparation service has been offered. |
